Ridge gourd Bajji

It’s a pleasant rainy day, clouds covering the sun light.. and it’s obviously my kinda weather. ๐Ÿ˜
And it’s time for some deep fried recipe, like today I prepared to pamper myself with my favourite “Ridge gourd Bajji” and my drug “green tea” ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’“
.it’s very simple that you can prepare in less than half an hour and doesn’t need any fancy ingredients also.


  1. Ridge gourd one
  2. Gram flour 1cup
  3. Rice flour 1tsp
  4. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  5. Pinch of cooking soda(optional)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil to deep fry


Wash the ridge gourd and peel the skin completely. Slice the gourd into thin circular discs and keep aside.

In a wide bowl add gram flour, Rice flour (it’s makes the Bajji crispy), red chilli powder, cooking soda, salt then slowly add water then make medium batter consistency, like neither thick or thin consistency.

Heat oil in a medium flame, once it’s heated dip the ridge gourd slices in the batter, so that it coated well both the sides, and then drop them into oil.

Fry the Bajji till it’s turns golden brown then serve hot with green chutney or you can enjoy just like that. ๐Ÿ˜Š
