Autumn is here, so the pumpkin are 😍
Back to the days where my mom used to bring one big pumpkin and she used to prepare three recipes like sambar, palya(vegetable stir) and pumpkin chutney.
Pumpkin chutney is something that mix of three awesomeness.. like spicy, tangy and sweetness.
The natural sweetness of the pumpkin in this chutney is the main ingredient.
Oh god .. this is an true happiness for my tummy for this winter.
- Chopped pumpkin 250grms
- 2inch tamrind
- One garlic pod
- Half tsp of jeera/cumin seeds
- 6 to 8 green chillies
- 2tsp of chopped coriander leaves
- Salt as per taste
- Water 1/4 cup
- Freshly grated coconut 2tsp
- Oil 1 tsp
- Few curry leaves
- Half tsp mustered seeds
In a small pan add the the ingredients that have mentioned above, then put the flame in very low.
Pumpkin will Cook in very less time it hardly takes 10min.
Once the pumpkin cooked, allow it to cool down. Then grind the masala into fine paste, if felt the water is not enough, can add few tsp of water and grind it.
Transfer it into a bowl, then prepare for tempering. Heat oil in a small pan, when oil is hot add mustered and curry leaves.
Pour the tempering on grounded chutney.
Serve pumpkin chutney with hot rice, idly or dosa.
