Thin crust Veg pizza

The word pizza only makes me go mad !! I love pizza so much and I’ll never get bored to eat that every week.

For me, the pizza is all about the base. Thin and crispy Italian style bases are definitely the best and you can eat more. Pizza dough should be little drier than other like Ciabatta or focaccia bread.

I’m baking pizza at home from almost 7 months now, and I love home made pizza more then any store bought. It taste better and can eat more and more.

I m sharing the recipe here from dough , pizza sauce to complete pizza.

Ingredients for Dough

  1. Rapid rise yeast 2tsp
  • 1tsp of sugar
  • Warm water 1 1/4 cup
  • Oil 4tsp
  • All purpose flour 3 cups
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for toppings

  1. Italian herbs
  2. Cooked corn
  3. Black olives chopped
  4. Green red yellow bell pepper
  5. Mushrooms 2 to 3
  6. Cherry tomatoes chopped
  7. Chopped onion
  8. Mozzarella cheese grated
  9. Jalapeno peppers chopped
  10. Chilli flakes

Ingredients for pizza sauce

  1. Three tomato
  2. Red bell pepper small one
  3. One chopped onion
  4. Garlic cloves 4 to 5
  5. One small carrot
  6. Cup full basil leaves
  7. Italian herbs 1tsp
  8. One red chilli


In a mixing bowl add warm water and sugar mix nicely then add dry yeast mix nicely till that yeast dissolve, then close the bowl and allow the yeast to bloom.

Once the yeast blooms (if yeast doesn’t bloom please don’t use it ) add flour salt and oil, them combine into a dough. Coat with bit oil then Cover and rest for one and half hour or until doubled in size.

Once dough doubled in size, take out and knead vigorously at least 10 minutes until stretchy and smooth. Seperate the dough into 2 to 3 roughly equal lumps (you can wrap these lumps in cling film at this point and freeze for future use).

Take lump of Dough and stretch out gently on pizza pan as thin or thick you like.

Meanwhile for pizza sauce pressure cook all the ingredients that mentioned above for one whistle except basil leaves and Italian herbs, once cooked take all the vegetables from cooker and grind it with basil leaves untill smooth paste then add Italian herbs mix well and keep aside.

Preheat the oven for 240 degree Celsius.

Now for pizza toppings spread the pizza sauce, then mozzarella cheese and the toppings that have mentioned above or any other toppings that you like.

Slide the pizza into oven and bake for anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your oven and baking surface.
